I have a b&w tegu and some beardies. I'ld like to start a roach colony. I've looked around online, it seems like the dubias or hissers would be good choices but which would be better as far as size, speed of reproduction and maintenance? Any suggestions?

I find that my hissers breed faster then my dubia. The hissers do climb glass/plastic so you need a thin barrier of vasaline at the top so they can't climb out. Hissers get larger so you have more of a size range within your colony (tiny, small, medium, large) where with dubia you get tiny, small and medium. For bearded dragons dubia would be fine, but they are a bit small for adult tegus.
I like hissers over dubia for their size. As stated, the down side to the hissers is they climb, but also as stated, a thin line of vasaline stops that. Another good point is that hissers are slower then dubia.
