Heya, I have been looking to get an eclectus parrot for several months now, and have really struggled to find exactly what I wanted - a Solomon Island male of around 4-6 months old. Today I went to parrot show with Ian and ended up finding just that;

Hes surprisingly mellow - of course, its only day one, but he has been very watchful and wary, yet has allowed us to touch him which is a good start. He was hand raised but has spent a lot of time amongst other birds, so hes not cuddly tame, but it is clear that he is accustomed to people.

Im so glad to have finally found him - I have had the cage assembled in the lounge since November, so its nice to have an occupant at last!

Many thanks icon_smile.gif Yeah the bright crimson of the females is beautiful...though I must admit Im a bit biased towards the dark emerald green of the males! icon_wink.gif The red and blue on his wings is stunning. Just need his beak to turn bright yellow and he will be gorgeous!
