I had posted a topic about my new tegu a few days ago.. He's still not eating. I'v tried feeding him a mouse, strawberries, live meal worms, dead meal worms, and dead crickets and he doesn't seem to be the least interested in any of it. The past day and a half or so I haven't even seen him. He's been buried in the substrate in his hide. Seems like he's in hibernation but I thought that would be over with by this time of year? Is there anything to be worried about? Anything I should do? Thanks, Sean

Your little guy is probably just a little stressed. Give him some space and he will be fine. They can go for a LONG time without food and not starve to death, so i would just let him be for right now.

It's only been 2 days - He went through quite a change coming from Bert to you - Just keep your heat and lights up daily along with fresh water - There is nothing abnormal with a Tegu burrying for days and not eating, especially when introduced to a new environment - I know you are concerned and want to hear something different, but I suggest again that you leave him be for now...
