my tegu had not been eating since i got him but today he downed a fuzzy!! a little disturbing though because the little mouse was squealing as it slid down its throat, but thats ok. i am one happy camper!! could it be that he doesnt like crickets/mealworms/strawberries and really likes fuzzies or could he have just gotten over the stress of a new home or is he finally coming out of hibernation? im clueless but atleast hes eating!! i named my tegu Hades by the way (i had been undecided for some time).
thanks, Sean

I would say after being pulled out of hibernation, being shipped, new home and environment, are all stressors themselves - But I would say that becoming active and feeding are good signs - I would still try to push the insects while he's young and as long as he will chase them - nothing wrong with offering the fruit as well...
