Hi. I have a friend who has free roaming tegus (I personally don't recommend that myself, but he does it, not me). and apparently, his argentine black and white male has mated with his red female. He says that the red female is now gravid.

Has this been done before, and if so what will come out? What will the color be of the offspring, and can they be raised to adulthood? Or die because of genetics? Also, he wouldn't be able to keep that many, so would the offspring be of any sale value?

Any pics of such crosses?

Thanks.

So far, to my knowledge, it has never been done. That is not to say it is impossible, but i would really like to see pics, if it is true.

I have heard/read that someone has tried before and had a gravid female, but all of the eggs were infertile. If your friend does manage to hatch any, I call first dibs on at least 10 of them. icon_wink.gif
