Is it possible for some one to allready have 8 week old arg.babies for sale?Thought they were not hatching until july

It's very unlikely anyone had eggs hatch in April. That would mean the adults were breeding during the cold months which I have never heard of. More likely they are small tegus that are nearly a year old but probably they were not fed large meals and then they were hibernated for 5 or 6 months. Then the tegus would still be under 18 to 24 inches.

Well, if the price is right it will not matter one way or the other. Just use common sense and research the person prior to bidding.

I spoke to Bert about that once, because last year, in march and April, i was already seeing hatchling B&Ws available. His answer to this was that they were imported. Breeding season is different down in Argentina.

Diegar is right. It is winter in South America when we are having summer. They are on the other side of the equator. I would be afraid of buying imports, due to the chance of them having parasites. I vet visit might be in order if you decide to buy a import. icon_wink.gif
