Not a personal attack on you, but man am i sick of pet stores selling nile monitors. they are not good "pets" by any stretch and so many perish. i wish they would push Ackies more to drive the price down. THEY make a good "pet" monitor, not niles.

and according to most people who dont like lizzards they dont think anything of monitors except kill them. but i ignore them. and i didnt get the nile for a pet i got him because i knew no one else would. im just trying to get rid of him to make space for another tegu.

Maybe you could try a zoo or something? Thats usually where the big reptiles that outgrow their owners end up icon_sad.gif

I agree jb, they make awful pets; and the worst thing is that theyre always so cheap, which makes them just about an impulse buy for clueless people. There was one in a pet store near me that was just £50 - compare that to around £70 for a beardie, a more suitable but far smaller pet. Such an animal shouldnt be for sale in a pet store that deals with cats and hamsters etc.
