I have thought about rodentpro. I calculated how much I would be saving including shipping and it's good but I just want to know if anyoe else gets their frozen mice from somewhere that shipping isn't so much. Any ideas? Thanks.. _________________ 1.0.0 american pit bull terrier

I have used rodentpro twice and been happy with both shipments.
Both times I was at work and had them deliver to the office where the box
sat for the rest of the day and there was still plenty of dry ice and everything remained completely frozen until I got home.
The more you order (or fill the box) the better your savings. They show
you how much box space is left as you order items. If you don't need that much see if you can get a friend to order with you to offset the box
cost which is about $28. _________________ 1.1.0 B/W Argentine Tegu

http://www.themousefactory.com/ they are great. Been using them for over 3 years now. Never had a problem. Shipping is going to be pretty expensive no matter where you get them from because they are required to send them overnight because they are perishable. I suggest ordering in bulk because you end up saving more money. Just remember what you order should only last six to nine months i believe then it gets bad. Good luck. Either place would be good. I just like themousefactory because everytime I order its not a huge quantity so it is always cheaper for me through there. I always get quotes from both. See if one of them in running any specials.
Big Cheese has really high quality product. Even better than rodentpro IMO. As has already been said, it's not cheap to ship rodents. So, best bet is to buy a bunch. Or, you can try and find a rodent breeder near your home to buy direct from in order to skip shipping. I have several people fairly local I could buy from. But I still prefer the quality of Big Cheese and purchase from them.

I have read about the % of box space for shipping from rodentpro and I think it is economical when I calculated. I haven't tried big cheese or the mouse factory. From the replies it seems they are good quality too. I really appreciate the help. Thanks a lot. _________________ 1.0.0 american pit bull terrier

Go with Rodent Pro. The shipping may be more but the quality is great.
I have used them for years and recently tried Mice Direct since the shipping was less. I was not happy at all.
What they advertise.
What they send you.
Not only did it take a week to process the order and another 4 days with shipping to get here but the feeders are filthy and the smell is disgusting.
I have never gotten frozen feeders this filthy or that smell this bad until I decided to try Mice Direct. The rat pups and rat fuzzies I ordered were smaller than the ones I get from Rodent Pro but I can live with that. I can also deal with the longer delivery time since they did arrive still frozen solid. I am not happy at all about having 75 adult mice that I cannot use because they are filthy and the smell is nauseating. I really cannot describe just how bad they stunk when I opened the bag. I emailed them twice now with pictures explaining that I am unsatisfied, cannot use these feeders, and want a refund for the mice. So far no response.
Thanks Steve...he posted this on some other forums too. This is something we all need to see---if I recieved feeders like that I would be very unhappy. _________________ Yours,

I raise my own now, but I had great service and nice rodents from them before in the past. _________________ www.tegu.com and www.Varnyard-herps-inc.com

Thanks, let these bastards feel the wrath of bad word of mouth advertising. I'm glad you took the pic. for everyone else to see. Luckily I live near a few reptile stores and can always just go pick mine up at the same prices they would charge me for screwed up shipping.
That is disgusting! I'm glad I started this thread. Of the people that has had experience with rodentpro...do they vaccum seal the mice individually? _________________ 1.0.0 american pit bull terrier
