There are many commercial "reptile" hand sanitizers and many other which may be safe for reptiles, but not specifically labelled as such.

Which brand or type of hand sanitizer do you use between handling reptiles?

I generally use plain ol' soap and hot water, but the idea of a dispenser in the reptile room with a waterless hand sanitizer is appealing.

I use "people" hand sanitizer. Its the kind some restaurants use that have to handle food right afterwards. It is non-toxic and I have been using it for ages with no problems icon_smile.gif

I use an antibacterial handwash generally and plenty of water, though regular hand soap in a dispenser will do otherwise. I havent had any problems that I can report either, so I hope this is OK icon_smile.gif

I use soap and water followed by purell followed by a nolvasan rinse when I am handling quarantine animals. Otherwise a soap and Purell followed by a water rinse.

Studies have shown the Purell does help disinfect especially when hands are not washed as long as needed (1-2 minutes)

Do a google search on Purell, llots of info out there
