Hey everyone,

Last night I purchased my first Argentine Black & White Tegu. While browsing some sites I found this and decided I would sign up, and hopefully stay active.

For alittle background, my name is Don Meyer. I am 18, soon to be 19, and taking a year off from school =P I plan to start at the University Of Pittsburgh next year taking classes in law.

At the moment I have 1.0 BCI's (Het. Albino with paperwork), 2.1.1 Leopard Geckos (Normals, Hi Yellow, and Patternless), and now 0.0.1 Argentine Black and White Tegu.

If you want to talk about reptiles, or anything in general just send me a message on AIM @ DMeyer8706

Thanks!

It stands for Boa Constrictor Imperator, but as far as information about them I dont know what seperates them from BCC's as I dont know too much about snakes.

Welcome Don, I also am fairly new to this site and have found it to be really helpful with my Argentine Black & White Tegu. There is a lot of great information and many experienced and well-informed members.

Congrads Don,
I too am new to the site. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of your Tegu as I do mine, as you can see I have several, and like you, if I get off my lazy duff, I will get some pics.

they are quite easy, mine are from Ron St. Pierre, they are were hatched this year. they are alittle flighty and want to hiss and puff up at first. once out they calm right down. I keep a basking light on them, fed daily for fresh greens, fruits, tortoise chow, and crickets as treats. I will get some pics of them this weekend. these are by far one of my most favorite lizards.

thanks for the interest, and if I can be of any assistance just let me know,
keep watch on www.bluetegu.com, I beleive Ron has rhino eggs cooking. icon_biggrin.gif He has some of the best lizards (Tegus and Rhinos) going.
