Hi everyone! I've been lurking around for a couple weeks and thought I would finally come out of my "cage". I'm Christina and I moved to Arizona (East Valley) from Washington in May, very very willingly icon_lol.gif I'm a full time chef, married, 5 mostly icon_wink.gif grown kids, 3 step-kids, and 4 wonderful grandkids icon_smile.gif

I don't have a Tegu.....yet! I fell in love last month at the NARBC/Anaheim and I fell hard!! Literally in tears icon_cry.gif cause I couldn't bring him home with me but I know better. I was not "prepared" for him. I am now in the planning/research stage, including cage plans for a permanent large cage We will probably get them later this yr or at the beginning of next. We are getting two since hubby wants one too. He prefers the B/W or maybe Blue while I'm pining for a Red. We have a breeder here in Mesa, Blue Ghost, who has some nice ones and also seems to have a great reputation from those I've talked to. I also have an assortment of other pets, listed in my siggie.

I know I have questions to ask but won't do it here..... Just wanted to introduce myself and step out into the light! icon_biggrin.gif

Hey there and welcome.....I was also at the covention in Anaheim. There were only 3 Tegus there I believe...Which one did you fall in Love with? My Buddy's shop had one there that was a B/W Hatchling.

It is good to hear that you have developed an interest in these animals. I bought my first one just about a month ago. I am getting a second in a couple weeks (When my cage is ready...Thanks Heavy_Hitter) an Albino Actually. This is by far one of the most informative sites for Tegus that I have found. Not just in the Literature posted but from the stand point of the members willingness to answer any questions you have.

Once again welcome to TheTegu.com!

Hello, and welcome to the forum. I too am a new member as well as a new proud parent of a black and white. I have had mine(Brutus for about a week, and saddened by the recent news that mine has a slight disability to us his front right foot. However, I wouldn't get rid of him for the world, he has already aquired an awesome personality.

Good Luck!!

do you know Blue Ghost's contact info? I live in mesa too and the owner of the Predators Reptile shop like wont give me the info, and is trying to get me to buy them through him, and him getting them from Blue Ghost. I actually got a 1.1 66% pair from them this month through him, and I am looking for more. They are awesome!

Yes Actually I do have his contact info. I've been in Predators before.... I was not impressed with how he caged most of his reptiles nor how the condition of many of the cages. I have not been back.

thank you soooo much for the info. I just sent you a Private message about the prices. Generally the prices of tegus you buy you usually dont say publicly on the forums. Maybe its just something I have noticed, and maybe am just making it up, or maybe its a real tegu community unwritten law. hahaha. But thanks for the help!
