Hi, just thought I'd share some pics of my new Tegu. Really nice temperament for such a young age. I was told that it had lost it's green colouration 2 weeks prior to me buying it. Would anyone be able to tell me approximately how old that would have made him/her at the time of purchase? Can't think of a name yet but here he/she is anyway...

Tegus tend to loose this color at different ages sometimes. You will have some out of a clutch that will still have green heads while others will be turning. But judging by the pictures I would guess it is not more than a couple of months old at the most. icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the welcome! That's my fav pic too, s/he's full of character. My sub-adult black throated monitor could learn alot (can faintly see him in the background on the first pic)!
