Hi My name is Andy and I just joined yesterday...I have a 40 hectare(100 acre) farm in the mountains near Rio de Janeiro which has a forest and many wild animals including howler monkeys, coati mundis, penelope guans, armadillos, lots of poisonus snakes, tegus etc. We bought the place in 1988 and since then have dedicated ourselves to protecting its wildlife from human predation which was a fact before we took over. There hadn't been any sightings of tegus for several years but now they seem to be making a comeback. I have some issues about species identification so I was wondering if anybody knows which species are common to our area. There seem to be at least 2 and maybe 3 different ones present; a large(around 1 meter) greenish one, a smaller green and yellow one with stubbier tail, and sometimes a large greyish one.Can anybody give me some tips?I don't have picture just yet but should have some soon. Andy
