How do you like your frilled?! I've been looking at them for a while but just haven't done much research on them. As far as housing do you set them up similar to beardies? My daughter thinks they are awesome! She has a stuffed animal version but keeps trying to talk daddy into a live one! Not that she has to try too hard!

Yes, I like my frilled. In my opinion they shouldn't be handled as much as a bearded dragon. Their set ups are also differant. Frilled dragons are climbers, and need more humidity. I have his enclosure set up so he can climb above my head if he wants to. They like being up high. They have very strong personalities and are VERY alert. They are always checking out what is going on.

Frilled dragons are awesome. I would like to buy one! They are still very expensive though. How big do they get? Does he like to be handled? I handled one at a show once. I couldn't belive how chill it was. I was very surprised. The most docile lizard I've ever handled.

Frilleds do infact make great pets. If I ever come across true australians I will be buying some for sure. Mostly what is available are either new guinea - c.b.b. or indo - imports. If handled often they end up just like beardies and will hold onto your shirt for hours on end. New Guineas and Indo's both reach 2ft +. Australian's are the biguns reaching 3ft with a much larger frill. Calm Frills rarely show their frills, which is kind of disappointing. Weis Reptiles used to keep and breed their frills in 55g aquariums (silver phase australians). They do enjoy climbing and if given the room will usually make use of it.
