Question about bumps on Iguana.

Ok, I have had this iguana for about a week now. I dont know any of its history from before. I recently put it in its new enclosure that I made for it that it 7ft high by 8ft long by 4ft wide. The temps are: Basking 95-100F Ambient 70-85F (gradient). Humidity ranges from 60-80%. All of these figures are taken with a digital hygrometer and temp gun. It's diet consists of Mustard greens, Kale, spagetti squash, turnip, raspberries, papaya. This gets changed everyweek as i like to switch foods and not constantly feed the same thing 2 weeks in a row. It is supplemented with calcium about 4 times a week and minerals and vitamins once a week.

Just recently, I have noticed these rather large bumbs on her tail. I have looked over and over again for mites and have not seen any. I am looking mainly around the spines, the feet, and the dewlap. I cant tell if they are painful to her as no matter where I touch her she will freak out. Here are some pics of them. Please tell me what you think. I will still be taking her to the vet, just wanting some of your opinions as I have only been to this vet one other time (to get an exam done on this girl 2 days after I got her) and not sure if I trust him yet.

definitely take her in and get her checked out, i can't tell much from the pics but one looks like maybe a broken bone (don't freak out i can barely see) another looks like a tick (but you'd be able to see that) you can go to http://www.anapsid.org/vets/indiana.html and that should be a list of vets posted by melissa kaplan, if you don't trust your vet, those should be okay. Search her site a little and you may find some interesting stuff. the site is www.anapsid.org, incase you didn't notice. good luck and i hope your iguana gets better.

I have read many different things that it could be, but I am not expert. I will call them and set up an apointment.

I have an iguana that I got full grown, he also has weird bumps that kinda look like growths under the skin. Can't be sure from your pics, but looks similar. He was fed dog food for years by his previous owner, they gave him nothing else. I was told it was from malnutrition, calcium deficiency and he has some bone disease and crooked scales. I have had him for almost 4 years and he's still kickin it. Still take yours to the vet could be something else. Hope this helps.

It does Wendy, thanks. The vet checks her jaw the first time I took her there and he said it seems good. So hopefully it isnt MBD. We'll see. I have to call tomorrow as they werent open today. I will keep you guys updated.
