My boy, Tangaroa, arrived with his nose a little scraped up, like he had been rubbing it against an enclosure wall or something. Its odd, cause he has'nt been doing any nose rubbing since he's been here. Anyhow, it does'nt look infected, should I just let it heal naturally, or put something on it (Neosporin, antibiotics, I dunno icon_confused.gif ). He's acting normal, and it does not appear to be getting any worse....any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks

Neosporin would work well for a nose rub.

I'd watch out with the neosporin scense its a gel the bactira it does not kill, which can be alot sometimes espeically in a high humidity cage, will muiliply under the gel. using a liquid aniceptic is safer but i pefer if its a close wond to just to let nature take its course unless it gets worse.

you can disinfect it with a little betadine and a q-tip. if you're going to use antibiotics try one that is a creme not an ointment and just rub a little in until it disappears.

Thanks for the info. his nose is looking a bit better, I'll keep an eye on it and swab it if there's any negative changes. I'm betting he was in too small of an enclosure--as he's just chillin in this one icon_lol.gif
