how often should a roughly 1 year old tegu be defecating? because tybalt only goes like once every 2 weeks which i find disturbing at the least. otherwise he seems perfectly healthy very active always digging and rearranging hes 34 inches long he eats like a monster and is very calm with people. i just dont get the defecation thing why so long between defecations?

He should go more than that, at least once every three days or less, if you are feeding him everyday.

I don't know, but he should be going more than once every two weeks. Does he look impacted or anything?

What and how deep is your substrate?

Reason I ask is that if you're using even a few inches of mulch you may not see his excrement if he's digging around. He might just be covering it up.

And ig youre substrate is deep - there might be a ton of crap hiding in there.

I see my tegu's dump every so often, but many times just due to his activity it gets covered with mulch and I know that I have to dig for it.
