this is the weekly ration of locusts...and crickets...
but this week i get the super locust...schistocerca gregaria...the desert locust...a little bit bigger...and in germany we say "that you eat with the eyes!"
And i find that they are very nice...hehe
I dont think we can get locusts here in the states..Ive never seen them anyways.I wonder if it would be hard to start my own this summer when the grasshoppers come out..Grasshoppers and locusts are the same arent they..
Those big ones are the ones I get - my tegu is too big to catch the little ones anymore All of my omnivores love them - especially my beardie, who will go nuts trying to escape her cage if she sees that anyone else is getting them. In the shops though they are quite stingy and sell them with about 5 in a tub. I found one shop that sells about 10 in a tub, but they are so far away from me...perhaps I should bulk buy them. I live in terror of them escaping though, lol _________________ www.freewebs.com/johelian www.freewebs.com/joslittleworld
