Sorry I havent been around much lately. But you guys have helped me a lot with my tegu Lug-Nut.

unfortunatly, since the day we got him, he hasnt seemed normal. Ive had him for a few months now, and he hasnt grown a bit. His eating habits are horrible. very tempermental. Hard to tame. Even now, he still isnt used to me or my boyfriend.

We recently moved to a new house, and i was afraid the move would shock him, but he seemed the same as before.

now today i went to feed him a treat. some nice plump super meal worms. he hasnt had these in a while since the old house infact. now i noticed he had a hard time finding it. Hell he coudlnt find the damn worm at all. hed get a hold of it, then try to slam it on the floor (as he normally does) but couldnt quite get the coordination down. he would literally throw the worm away from him and wont be able to find it again. same with crickets. cant find him, and when he tries to wrestle it to death, he ends up losing it.

to be honest guys, i dont think i got the best of Tegus as far as breeding is concerned. His growth is stunted, although in a tank twice his size.

ive been taking great care of him, every detail is right, from lighting to moisture. i clean his tank everyday. everything.

i just dont know whats wrong with my lil guy.

i know some of you will say take him to a herp. but those cost a lot of money. a guy that owns a pet shop in my town is a certified herp and ive got an appointment with him next week. but any imput would be most gratefully appreciated.
