hell no.
it says chacos (chaco plains) but then it says Paraguayan, the chaco plains arent in paraguay. they are just normal reds trying to make a quick dime off of a BS name.
The range of the red tegu stretches from central Bolivia (15 degrees S.L.) over western Paraguay into western Argentina as far south as 40 degrees S.L.

Sorry I didn't put the whole quote in.

In order to visualize better this distance, let us compare it on the northern hemisphere: From Guatemala to Utah! It is therefore understandable that within such a large range there must be different types of Red Tegus. But most importantly, the ones living closer to the equator will not tolerate cold as well, nor hibernate as long as the ones from southern regions in Argentina. It is therefore that over the years I always avoided to start working with the quite abundantly available Red Tegus from Paraguay. The Red Tegus I wanted to work with needed to come from regions between 30 and 40 degrees S.L. and that is only in Argentina.

Ok, well, yesterday I acquired, what was claimed to be, a "Chaco Red Tegu". It's a female and the previous owner said that females usually lack a lot of red and Chaco Tegus show much more red. This girl definitely does not have a lack of red pigment. I can post pics if anyone is interested.
I agree with the above statement. Different areas could be separated by mountains or rivers and different traits could result. I'd like to hear thoughts from other experts.
BTW- I got her in trade so she's available to anyone who's interested for purchase or trade for GTP or a Basin.
It's mostly just a lighter area. It shows up more in pics than in person because of the flash. She does have 2 very small scars on her neck from breeding, but the previous owner said it's very mild and not to be concerned with it. He said that's common on females that are proven breeders. Since I'm not a Tegu expert, I trusted him on his word. What do you think?
I also got a male Platinum blue from him and that guy is STUNNING! I can post pics later tonight of him...
