He's a "Platinum Blue" which means he has very high contrasting white... at least that's what I've read. I'm considering keeping him... if I do, I'm going to need some info on his needs because I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to lizards. Pythons and Boas are my forte... not lizards so much.

Thanks. I can post more pics of him later tonight if there's interest...

Also, can someone give me an approximate value on the female red? Both animals are very handleable...

That was an awesome trade you made to get those two. icon_lol.gif

I only get offered snakes and BTS and I don't have a passion for either of those.

Thanks but you don't know what I traded to get those... icon_wink.gif

Basically, it was an adult male Black Phase white lip Python for the 2 Tegu's.

This is what they look like:

As for the female I have seen people ask anywhere from $150.00 to $300.00 shipped for them.Seems like lots reds available now.I would think people would want them to go to a good home more than to make lots money on the sale but that is not always the case.

I check Kingsnake daily for Tegus always hoping to find a Blue Male for an affordable price.I would prefer a baby blue however.
At the moment blue babies seem a rarity but I am patient. icon_rolleyes.gif

If someone has an investment in an animal, there's nothing wrong with charging accordingly for it. If the "Chaco" thing is legit, then she's more of a rarity I would think. Maybe you'd like to make an offer on her? Depending on where you are in PA, I may not be that far... icon_wink.gif

Ok, like I said before... if I keep him, I'm gonna need some advice on what king of lighting, food and stuff he's gonna need...

You don't really want him!
My birthday was August 17th and noone bought me a lizard. <major pout> icon_lol.gif

Doesn't anyone feel bad for me icon_question.gif

I been waiting for a blue for a long time but I am being picky or cautious or both because I want the right one for me.

Lol, is it me or does that look photoshopped? Not contesting that there arent monster reds out there, but look at the size of the kids left hand! Looks like theyre trying to make the tegu look far bigger than it really is - a bit like a pic of a supposedly "giant" asian water monitor, who only appeared big due to clever camera angles and clever photoshopping (again the hand appeared abnormally massive in that picture). icon_smile.gif
