Just brought home my first two argentine tegus (Capone and Cagney) straight from KY Reptile Show. Bought 'em a 90 gallon custom tank (they whispered in my ear, well actually they nudged me) lol. I also have 0.1 banana ball (Booker T), 1.0 red-tail boa (Boomer), 0.1 Dumeril boa (Malayo), 1.0 western hog nose (Mas), 1.1 iguanna (SlingBlade and WhipLash), two dobermans (Harley and Sturgis), one rottie (Hootie), one boston (StudMuffin Sam), and Sam's cat (Jack).
I went to the show to get a uro, cuz all my critters are gonna be bigger than me and wanted something just a tad more my size ; however once I laid eyes on Cagney and then being nudged by Capone, I couldn't resist. Haven't been home with them for 24 hours yet, and I am SMITTEN!!!

Hi there, im a newbie to forums,
Im proudly owned by Vinnie, my 20mnth old B & W boy. Hes approx 4ft and hes just adorable. Im in the process of taking down a wall to build 2 huge vivs for Vinnie & our Bosc's. Ive only had him for 5months, think im doing ok so far. Took time socialising him, he behaves well n loves cuddles. Not so keen on my hubby tho - he gets hissess & whipping.
Need advice on hibernation, also hes playing me up with feeding- he wont touch locusts, crickets or fruit etc......Help xxx _________________ 1 Argentinian B&W Tegu

Hi Welcome. We got a arg.black and white tegu.We got him when he was three weeks to a month old.We had him three weeks now.Try to give yours some lean ground turkey (room tmp.) and mix in a very few rasbarries, bluebarries or strawberries. Please make sure that they are not frozen. Our loves it.And put some calcium powder in.See if that helps. Please be careful not to give him to much bananas because it is hi in potasium.Good luck.
welcome Cherokee, sounds like you have a great group of animals, also sounds as if you ride a bike (HD) since i frequent Sturgis, SD almost every year.
