Hello my name is Jason. I went to the pet store today and saw a Tegu. Wow i I want one so bad. He was a beautiful black and white. So seeing him and falling in love with tegus i decided to do some research on them, and came across here. So i thought i would stop in and say hi to everyone.

Hi Jason and welcome to the Tegu forum.
Tegus are easy to fall in love with, icon_biggrin.gif
Enjoy your stay and I hope you learn a lot and someday get your own Tegu.

Hi Jason.I wellcome you, too.I'm also a new member. We have a almost 2 month old arg.black and white tegu.I love him sooooo much.He is a great pat.He alway makes me smile because he does so many funy things. If you want to get one get a arg.tegu not the columbian one. They are easier to tame.We had our tegu since he was about three weeks old and he sleeps on my chest and walks around the house with me (on my shoulders). Some times I wear two shirts. One so he will not scratch me up and the other one for him to hide under).I'm holding him for at least an hour every day.If you don't mind me asking where are you from.Because I know a very good reptile store here in San Antonio,Tx.Where I got mine from and they ordered him for me.I got him within a week.

Hi Jason. My two month old arg.bw tegu gets along very well with my 12 year old border collie cocker spanier. The dog is like a puppy around my two bigger dogs but with the snake, the gecko and the tegu she is very calm. The Tegu sits on her back and doesn't move.Maybe he likes her warm body.If you think about geting one get him as young as posible. We saw a biger one and he made me nerves because I don't know what he is going to do next and they can feel that.I'm very happy with that litle guy/girl.He like to get a lot of loveing. Some times after I walk around with him and I put him back in his tank he gets on the bark and plants and starts jumping around in there till I get him back out and put him on my shoulder.I could go on and on but I beter make it short icon_sad.gif .If you like any info on where to get a good tegu you can call the rep.store where I bought mine from. They know good breeders.I call them all the time on some info. They are in San Antonio,Tx.Alamo Aquatics 210-681-1411.Good luck.
