Hi.
At the zoo I work at we have a female, mature Rhinocerous iguana; we have a every other month weighing schedule, and getting her to get into her weighing bucket is an absolute pain... so I was wondering if anyone has a rhino iguana, and also is there anything (food wise) that they generally go crazy for? We figure we can train her to get onto a platform or better yet into a weigh bucket if she's motivated--we just dont have an idea for motivation...
Thanks, any info will help!

When I have one that gets like that, I will lay a towel loosely, but securely over their head and it seems to calm them somewhat. Might give it a try.

We have tried that in the past, she'll still thrash a bit, but then she starts doing a death roll type move, and unless we are really lucky, she manages to get away....Admittedly, I hav'nt even tried to get her yet, as I'm not comfortable enough with the idea, but our head reptile guy hates grabbing her just cause of how stressed she gets. We mainly just want to be able to get her to be calm enough so as to not be too stressed when we are near her.
Thanks for the tip, I think we will keep that in mind along with any other ideas...
