Are the crickets alive when you feed them?
Our argentine B&W and our red go nuts when they see them and will chase them trough the cage till they have it (sometimes losing it again and having to chase it again...which is a funny sight)
I dont think its such a big problem when they dont eat crickets. As long as they eat fuzzies. They will have everything they need in a rodent diet.
But its always better to have more veriaty in a diet tho. So just keep trying he might change his mind about them icon_wink.gif
Also, it seems they think; the bigger the more interesting. So I would sugest to give them the biggest cricket that would still fit in their mouth (and you will be amazed at what they can put away in one or to bites) and maybe its more interesting that way.
Good luck!

Make sure if he doesn't eat the crickets, you take them out of the enclosure. Crickets can do considerable damage by trying to 'eat' the Tegu. Sounds mad, but it happens.

Yeah crickets can do lots of damage. I once saw a lizard with nasty marks on its body that has been chewed by the crickets, Im sure someone has a pic of this icon_cool.gif .
