I have gotten great deals on all my adults. My male was $35 at a local reptile show. I found a guy on the internet looking to GIVE AWAY his 3 geckos (Dotty, Malcolm, and Post-It) locally. He lived in Florida, Im in Indiana. So I offered to pay shipping as well as give him an extra $50. He agreed. He also threw in the extra food (1.5# left of CGD and some bacteria stuff supposed to help increase appetite and reduce stress). I thought it was an awesome deal.

I think I just traded my woma for 3 more crested geckos (2.1) and a hatchling/juvie smooth knob tail gecko (N. levis levis).

If you ever wonder whats a good deal, shoot me an email and I will let you know what i think. I will give honest opinion whether it is really what you want to hear or now icon_wink.gif I hate seeing people get screwed over.

Do you have a local Petco? I know many people think they are the devil and what not, but they actually get their cresties from a large well known breeder (good stock). They usually only run about $50.

Jech, can you tell me what you love about them?

I am thinking compared to keeping most lizards they would be much easier.
No basking spot and live at room temperature so no extra lighting.
Nocturnal and I am up late in the evenings to enjoy.
Easy to feed with the crested gecko diets and a few crickets for a treat.
Anything else? icon_biggrin.gif

Cresties are great too! Here are some I used to have:

Easy to care for...easy to breed if you want...lots of benefits to them I guess. You've read the care sheet on pangea? You should also check out ciliatus.com. They have a good forum for cresties. My favorite, actually. Oh, on Pangea I am ReptileChick, and on Ciliatus I am KatiesCresteds.

I have a tokay gecko and I love him, I find that as long as your willing to handle them.. and your not afraid to get bit, that tokays are awsome! the colour (<--- Im canadian) on them is awsome.

But I to have wanted to get a leopard gecko, a good friend of mine has 1 and he is the friendliest little guy i have ever met. you take him out of his cage and he will just chill.

My fav gecko right now would have to be the Panther Gecko I saw 3 of them at a store so small so neat and very friendly.. one of them walked onto my hand didn't even have to try to catch them.

I have a little Leopard Gecko.
And I have to agree with everyone who has said it, you cannot look at them without smiling back at their cute little faces.

Hes dead easy to look after, and hes always real friendly.. And hes never jumped from me.. just sat on my chest loving the warmth.

You'll wanna kiss him/her like.. all the time! But if I were you I would refrain from doing so.. as they are large carriers of salmonella.. So I've heard.

But apart from that.. you'll love having him in your life.. he'll cheer you up when your down, and always be there to smile at you!!

If I was to get another gecko I'd want a Tokay Gecko..

You were saying about you wanting a bright orangy one..

well I dunno whether you have seen them but they are bright blue and orange, and they can climb glass too!!

Geckos are all round an extreamly cool pet
