[QUOTE=RiversideReptiles]This is not the "truth about blue tegus". This is simply your opinion. You are certainly allowed your opinion. But please don't mislead the public into thinking that these are facts. There's a big difference between fact and opinion. As a breeder of normal, snow and albino blue tegus, I can tell you for a FACT (based on actual experience and not just "what I think" or "what someone told me") that you're wrong about many of your statements. But I'm not here to argue with you. I just happened on this post and wanted to make it clear to the public that just because you have certain opinions, that doesn't make them true.[/QUOTE]

riverside reptiles, you have made the claim that YOU produced snow tegus.
Can you provide proof of this please?
thank you. _________________ When I have finished trampling the flowers, the hooves of my horse are more fragrant. Li Kao

I just don't understand why you made an assumption that I was Riverside Reptiles. No where did the guy in that post say he was me or that his name is Rick. If you look at his profile you will clearly see that he and I are not the same person.
If you want to attack me, at least make sure it's me you are quoting.
Rick, like I said, I thought riverside reptiles was another rick.
I am terrible with names and I also appologized for that.
I believe you when you say you have never produced snows.
I am curious though, and this may not belong in this thread, but is editing of member posts common here? _________________ When I have finished trampling the flowers, the hooves of my horse are more fragrant. Li Kao

Well, editing of posts is not common here, but it does happen for various reasons.
Sometimes posts are edited if people make posts in all "CAPS", which many people online frown upon and in which case I will occasionally take the moment to edit the post to remove excessive caps.
Sometimes people will post a link or a quote and get the BB Code incorrect and I will edit to the post to fix the quote, picture, etc.
Sometimes people will join and break a rule, such as spamming their website for no reason other than to spam. I will edit that.
Sometimes people will attacking someone without any real proof, only speculation and I will edit or remove posts.
Sometimes people will post a topic in the wrong forum and I will move it to the correct forum.
Sometimes people will accidentally post an off-topic post in someone elses thread and I will remove it.
When things like this happen I do PM the person or let them know why their post was edited, moved or removed. If they feel it was unfair we can discuss it.
People's posts are not edited for merely having a differing opinion. If you actually take the time to read through these forums you will see many times when people would disagree with someone, even with me, and their opinions are still there. If they move from opinions to unproven attacks on me or someone else, I will indeed edit or remove a post.

From personal experience I can say that this site is MUCH more accepting of diversity of opinion, heated debate and differing ideas than any other tegu site I've been on.
What makes a site like this work is the ability of its users to talk, debate and at time argue points and opinion (in a respectful manner) in the hope that good information will come to the surface. A true "Free Market Place of Ideas".

Rick is not Riverside Reptiles, nor has he ever clamed to be. And all of you should know that a snow tegu doesn't exist. Selling a snow, is a scam. The "snows" that you see for sale, are nothing more than albinos with a very light black contrast. There is no tegu yet that has no black. It is a possible morph, but has not been successfully bred yet, though many claim to sell them. Without a better genetic pool to dip into, it isn't going to happen anytime soon. We are already spreading the pool thin, but thanks to large breeders, they have spread the seed fairly far apart and have had no problems, or at least none that have been stated. Are your tegus all in hibernation Rick? How come you haven't posted any hatch pictures? We wanna see your setup!
