Nice looking Normal BW tegu, you probably won't get any bites for a trade for what your looking for though. Not to put you or your animal down, but it would not be a fair trade for the othe person. But thats just my opinion and nothing personal.

Just keep him, there is too many Dragon Breeders out there, that can not find homes for there animals. Also, if that is the case you will find that your animals will start to loose limbs from being in cage with cage mates of other beardies. Just something to keep into mind. Beardies are a LOT of work, trust me I know what I am talking about. I usually pick one pair each year to breed and by the end of the season, you have 60+ dragons to care for and feed and clean and cage. Think long and hard about your endevore first, if you think your up to the tast and financial burden, then by all means have a great time with it.

Have a good night,
Ps, Im not bashing on you, just voicing my opinion,

Ed

I think his comment sounded honest, and as he pointed out, his opinion alone. He wasn't telling you, one way or the other, what to do, or how to think, but rather, what he does, and what he thinks. A beardie or leopard Gecko of some fancy style, coloration or breed is going to run you far more than, what he called, a normal Tegu. You might have been ripped off in the purchase of yours, but they are not very expensive, compared to a blood-red bearded dragon, or a Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot Top Baldie (gecko)

I don't know who he was, but if you just read what he said and not taken him personally, he had a lot of truth in what he was saying.

I am not asking for a highend beardie or gecko just something with some color!! I already have my high end male dragon just wanted a female with some color as my female is normal color.
No i didnt get ripped off on my tegu you would be shocked as how much i paid for it.

Heres the deal if anyone in indiana wants a (normal) b&w tegu give me 50 bucks and its yours! I think thats a very very fair price for this normal icon_lol.gif

I don't mean to be rude, yes it is a great price for the buyer for that nice looking Tegu but it is a ripoff for the seller. It doesn't mean because he is just black and white that it isn't a spacial Tegu.My one Tegu looks like that and HE...... NO I wouldn't sell him that cheap. At the store he was (because of his sice) $ 225.But they gave him to us for $ 150.I thought that was a good deal.We payed that much for our hatchling.I think he should get more than just $ 50 but that's just what I think.

Sorry all, I was not lecturing. Just telling anyone that was reading this MY husbandry habbits. All my beardies are kepted seperate for my peace of mind that none will be injured from fights, OVER breeding or stress. My minimum cage size for mine are in 4x2x2 cages, yes that is a lot of cages that I have, but that is what I feel is best.

So once again, I am sorry to offend anyone with my opinion. This will be dropped on my half now.

Congrats on finding a good home for your Tegu.At least Lucille bought him from you maybe we all are going to hear from her every now and then on how he is doing. Thanks for taking him Lucille and good luck with him.I would of taken him but we already have two black and white Tegus. If we are ever going to get a nother one we would get a different color.I'm glad to see that things worked out for every one and I'm happy to see All_American that you are taking such good care of your animals icon_wink.gif ( I understood your point of few, too, and at least you put it in a nice way and were not rude about it icon_wink.gif ).
