Posted: Fri Jan 18, 2008 9:56 pm    Post subject: Skink eating his own skin???? Hello, something new just appened to me... I was looking a Mitsuki's Tank (blue tongue skink) and I saw that he was starting shedding. I made more humidity and change his water bowl. I just saw some pieces of shed on his back... so I started to softly scratch him a little bit to put it off ... All of a sudden he turns himself and look at the shed on his back(piece removed) and just eat the hole thing. Is it normal? Does reptile eat their own skin? can someone help me? Actually it's the first time I see this in 5 years... Meanah don't worry about the tail.It usually takes a few days for the tail to shed.That's normal.Leonidas (arg.bw.Tegu ) shedded a lot since I got him ( Oct.07 ) and the tail always comes of with in a week.
