Just wanted to know if anyone was working with ball morphs? I’ve decided to get back into snakes as they are 10X easier to keep then lizards and require far less care! I’ll keep tegus again when I can keep them outside! Anyways….I’ve got a few morphs now and some really neat stuff on the way! Deposits are out as well! I’ll get some pics together! I also need to re-work my web site to accommodate them.

hey john should i get a columbian redtail boa? this will be my first real snake b/c i have kept garters and corns before but never anything else. i would have liked to have gotten a yellow anaconda, but they are too aggressive for me. Also you hear anything about the difficulty to care for the dwarf retics? i'm also interested in those guys. If i can't find any of these i will go for ball pythons cause i really like those too.

Colombian red tails can make good pets. Never kept a colombian personally but I have friends that have. Snakes that get large aren't bad choices. One can always grow with the snake! Colombians max at around 12-13ft...8-9ft (female) being normal. I've kept a pair of Yellow Anaconda! They are weird! They will just open their mouth, turn and bite while being held, no need for them to strike! If you take the time you can calm them. I had a 6ft Kayaudi Dwarf Retic female that had a good temperment. Retics as a whole tend to be snappy, you'll have to work with them. Balls are perfect. Small but fat (a constrictor), and they are usually good natured. Thus is why there is the ball python market! IT's the biggest herp market in the World right now. Anyways if you need any more help just let me know. Sorry I was slow at getting back to this post.

I am currently working with some recessive traits, albinos, pieds, and some orange ghosts, I am thinking about some lavender albinos, but with that price tag I may have to wait, I am also working with normal balls, its nice to have some around, I love the co-dom morphs, and I am going to buy a lesser platty but I have no plans on breeding him, just far to many people working with co-doms, prices are dropping fast I remeember when the first mojave was 25,000 now two or three years later they are only 4000-5000 dollars, recessives hold their value, what are you working with at the moment
thanks
