Redtail with problems

I have recently rescued at 13 yr old redtail boa with problems. I received her this afternoon, set her up at work (I work at a vet clinic) in a nice cozy box and will take her to a reptile vet tomorrow to find out the full extent of her problems. The gal I got her from got her from the original owners. She has been neglected over the past 13+ months due to a new baby in their family. She supposidly has mild scale rot, respiratory infection, numerous previous bites from food, and some funky facial problems. I know I can take care of all that. My question to you guys is this: Her last known feeding is unknown. It has probably been at least 4 months since the last feeding. The previous rescue gal tried for a month (many different ways and rats and mice) to feed her with no success. I was wondering if you guys have any tips I could try to get some food into her. I'm not going to try for at least a week or 2-I'll see how soon she settles in. Her personality is exceptional, just a sweetie. Thanks.

I dont know anything about snakes but if she has wounds from her feedings she was probably fed live.

something you could do is thaw the rat or mouse in warm water and than using tweezers dangles it back and forth infront of her nose to get her to bite it.

once they bitten it usually its a done deal, it is for a kingsnake anyways lol.
