I have had my Adult red tegu for 3 weeks.
She was eating superworms fine for the first week as that was all I was offering because she was going to be moved to another province.
She is not eating right now she ate a few superworms a few days ago but doesn't show any interest really.

try to feed her a frozen mouse. but u must put it in a plastic bag and either run it under hot water or leave it in a bowl of warm water. but make sure it is totally thawed and warm and try to offer that to her.. dont feed her in her cage. cause if she eats any substrate she could get impacted hopfully that helps. if she wont eat that try ground turkey breast. and make sure that is warm too.. at least room temp. _________________ 0.1.0 Colombian Tegu

not really. i just get like a pound and i break it in to like 16 packs and tie off the bags. freeze them. then the day before that is her planed meal i put it in the fridge. then when its time to feed her run it under hot water till its about room temp. basicaly so its not cold. and break it into a few pieces and put it in her food dish. adding vits is also great. _________________ 0.1.0 Colombian Tegu

Gebris wrote in Rick's care sheet post a very good way to make your tegu eat what you want her to eat.....simply let the food soak a bit in raw stirred eggs(1 or 2)...she'll then supposedly eat it
If not.....put some calcium/d3 dusted super worms to crawl around with the ground turkey....living things might help to wake up her apetite.
I'm having the same problem....and to be honest... super worms with pieces of chicken breast has worked best for me
I put superworms in there with some turkey last night and she didn't touch it .
She has no real interest in food other than the fuzzy mouse I fed her a few days ago
Shes drinking fine though.
I had a 250 watt red bulb is that okayy should I add another one ?
