Well I know this is a funny question... My husband bought his black and white tegu for $80 or so. Shes about 3 now, and I think she might still be growing.

How much would be a fair price to sell her for?

She also has a custom built huge 7 feet long 3 feet wide like 3-4 feet tall cage... I know it cost us at least $100 to build... but I dont see shipping it as a possiblity. But assuming someone would want to but the cage... how much should I sell the cage for?

I just need like an idea of where to start.. so please dont low ball me just because you want to buy it for cheap, I need real opinions.

THANKS!! icon_lol.gif

I dont know what are the prices in the US for her years but I just wanted to ask you if you want to sell her cause you are afraid of her. My mom was too at the beginning, maybe its taking more time for you, just think of them as puppies. icon_wink.gif

no, I'm selling her because my husband is in the air force and we dont know if we can take her wherever we get stationed plus with her gigantic cage it will be really hard.

I would ask for the cage as much as you put in to it.So if it cost you $ 100 to built it I would ask $ 100 for it because you also put time in to it,too,to built it.For the Tegu I would ask $ 225.Since she is not tame it would be hard to ask more for it.The reason I sad $225 is because my 8 month old Tegu was $225 but since they couldn't sell her for so long and we go there a lot to buy stuff they gave him to us for $150.Oh,I forgot to ask you is it a columbian or argentine one because the columbians are cheeper than the argentine ones.

argentine. I have seen people saying they have shipped them, how does that work? You have to get a special cage/box like thing I assume, Do you just go to UPS and say I want to ship a reptile??? Plus how do you keep them warm for the journey? What about like food or water? Wouldnt that really stress the animal out being tossed around?

Go to a reptile store. They have special boxes ( styrofoam boxes ) and heat pads there. Also write down on the box very fragile when you send it of.I hope you have a reptile store where you are.If not let me know and I see what I can do for you.All I need is your Tegu's length.
