Hey all. Well here's my little introduction. I've had a beardie for about 8 years, he's doing very well. My first recent interest to reptiles was the Tegu, that was back in the summer. Well I researched them and fell in love but I wasn't ready for a lizard like that at that time. So in the fall I got my first snake, a ball who has been exceptional for me. Then a little over a month ago I got a pair of Vietnamese blue beauty rat snakes, they've been a challenge but they're finally starting to tame down. Now finally after almost a year, I've decided its time for my first true reptile love. I got an Argentine B/W Tegu Sunday, so far he is great, eating everyday, nice and active. In the future I will definitely be getting more Ball's as I plan on breeding them. This Tegu likely won't be bred as he isn't in hibernation now and I'm not hibernating him this year so as far as I know he'll be infertile. I may try my hand at breeding Tegu's at a later time and place but right now my space is too small to have multiple large enclosure's. Right now my Tegu, who is about 13-15" is in a 40 gallon tank(not very much floor space though, roughly 2 3/4'x 1 1/2' floor space) so as I receive my next paycheck I will begin the construction of his new 8x4x3 enclosure. I have some questions I have to ask but I will ask those in the appropriate forums. It's nice to finally be a part of the Tegu world!

Wow nice photo. I had one ball python, oh my god, they are so docile and lovely. He was very calm, but I give him to the a reptile farm because I had to kill all the mice with my own hand (not very fun lol). One day I put a mouse into a plastic bag and when I smash it on a table, the bag opened up just like the mouse, result--------------- full of mouse blood everywhere in my bathroom what a mess lol.
However, now I know that we can buy some frozen mice on internet. Which is a very good thing lol.
It's cool to see that you want to breed the ball python, I hope you will do it soon!!!
I hope you will have fun with your new Tegu!
good luck and Welcome!!!! _________________ Ben3233
