Where can I buy a cage?

I'm looking online to buy a custom cage and having little success. My budget is about 600 bucks possibly more and I have 2 tegus a m/f combo about 12 inches and 6 months old or so. I know they dont NEED it right now but I wanna get it out of the way and give them a super cool place to live. Im looking for a plastic or wood custom cage. Preferably tall versus short and wide. Sort of like a chameleon enclosure only not obviously. I found one site with really nice cages but they want like 2,000+ and thats just retarded. Can anyone toss me any links of affordable custom cages?

Theyre currently in a 60 gallon glass terrarium, I have plans to hook up the new cage with waterfall interchanging logs etc etc. So they have crawl toys. I checked ebay as well and only found cheap crappy wood cages people made and are trying to sell. I'm looking for something really nice and afffordable

You might consider looking over various caging plans and building a custom enclosure yourself. If you do not own power tools, you might contact a local carpenter and see if he/she can frame out the basic cage for you; then you can install the tracks and glass yourself.

You said you wanted tall vs short and wide; I am thinking your tegus would appreciate some width as they mature and become larger.

Good luck, it is good you are thinking about their future comfort while they are still small.

yeah dude, for 6 hundred bucks you can buy quality tools and more supplies youll ever need to build a cage, way better than one you can buy one with that amount of money. basic carpentry isnt hard to tackle for anyone, if you have the patience to plan everything out beforehand. its also way more rewarding and you wont feel bad about modding it for upgrades or whatever because youll still have the tools to do the job...

It is nice to see that you are doing your research before you get a bigger enclosure.I recommend what meanah and lucille sad.Make it long and wide not tall because when they are adults they stop climbing.

Try Boaphile plastics, I'm ordering some ball python racks from them soon but I was looking at there enclosures, a bit pricey but BEAUTIFUL. They have free shipping and if you talk to Jeff(I think) then I'm sure he can customize one.

cages are really easy to build if you know what you need.
its real basic carpentry, and all you really need is a drill, screws, and a saw.

Just order/buy your wood from a local diy shop, and get hacking stuff into size.. then, order your glass to be cut to the size of your opening, make sure you get that right though

600 bucks? well, to tell the truth I don't understand foreign money terminology.. But I could build one here for under £100 (probably up to £200 if I'm buying the tools too)

if your still struggling then maybe even ask a local carpenter about making tanks, or even get an estimate for him to build you one.

Just a few thoughts.

I know that boamaster has a 10ftx4ftx4ft for around that price........600-800. they are wood cages so they hold heat well.
