thanks so much for all your info, guys. Now, one other question, pretty sure I know the answer, but I always like to clarify: substrate. What type and those it make a difference if they're younger? thanks again, everyone.

I use cyprus mulch. Its cheap and looks good, and is to big to eat. _________________ 1.0 African Rock Python

Welcome to the Tegu forum family.It's good to have you on board.Hope you are going to enjoy this forum as much as we have.I used to use Repti bark.It's good mulch but it is so much more expensive.If you have a Feed store ( where people can get stuff for the Ranch ) you can get a bag of natural Cypress mulch ( that's what I use now ) 8.5L for not even $6.If you want to you can mix some plain ( no chemicals in there because it would be toxic ) top soil.Hope that helps.Take care and good luck.Feel free to ask as many questions as often as you want to.That's what we are here for .
