So I want to try to make my tegu enclosure duel fuction to a. save room b. keep the girlfriend happy. I have heard of coffee table enclosures but 6-7 ft is a little big for my coffee table. So I thought why not a dining room table with fold down sides or leafs so you can push chairs in. What does everyone think???

Your to funny icon_lol.gif .It sounds good but I think that when your Tegu is trying to sleep the noise will maybe bother him/her.Or when he/she is awake and you are trying to eat and he/she will smell the food he/she will be jumping around in there until you get him/her out.I would like to know how your guest will react icon_rolleyes.gif icon_lol.gif .Please keep us posted on that one.

I'm with Txrepgirl! I think those late night poker games might be very disruptive to your tegus sleep. And then what torture for your tegu to have to smell all the yummy food.

Ummmm....does your tegu poo in it's enclosure by habit? You don't want to subject your guests to that smell while their eating!

Well...the guests that you like anyway icon_twisted.gif icon_twisted.gif icon_twisted.gif

It'll only take one good poop and you'll never wanna eat off that cage again, trust me. The bigger they get, the worse it smells. Booger can stink up the entire house! icon_lol.gif

Lmao! I wouldnt care about guests haha! The idea is awesome! But yeah their poop stinks so I run when I see mine pooping, paper and floor deodorant for the win! icon_razz.gif I always wanted to do something like that, but under the bed. It would be higher than normal beds but the enclosure would be big enough and you wont need any extra space in the house and it would be really cool too! Of course I'm talking of hard and single beds, not those from recent married! Haha! The poor tegu just wont sleep! icon_twisted.gif

Digested mice/turkey/eggs/fruit + family eating dinner = not hungry.

Haha, thanks for all the input guys. I would definitely have to keep a clean cage. No ones in the kitchen at night and the inside of the aquarium wouldn't be visible from the top...i dont think. I thought about under the bed as well but of course it wouldn't be high enough. Coffee table...7ft L? Like I said. So my main option-dinner table. But what about building it into a entertainment center....granted again no late nights on that TV. What are everyones thoughts
