Hey, Im new here and to tegus as well. I received my first tegu named Oz this wed. from Rick. He explored his cage for about an hour or so then he went into his hide for the rest of the day, I offered him food but i really didnt expect him to eat. This didnt bother me too much, i read alot of the previous posts on here and understand the stress he might be in. He woke up before i did the next day but still did not eat at all. He poked around for a while but then when back in his hide and i havent seen him since. I emailed Rick and he told me that he just came out of hibernation and his metabolism is really slow. I became worried when i hadnt seen him at all today. Could the trip have put him back into hibernation?
