im going to build a new one for her tomorrow, well, modify a friends old one actually. its gonna be 6x3x3 when im done with it. i cant fit this enclosure in my house at its current size of 8x4x4, thus the modification
ive heard different things about which size is better, one of which being that adult females will do just fine in a 6x3x3, where as adult males would need the 8x4x4 so my question is, will that size of 6x3x3 be sufficient for her?
i hope it will be, because i cant afford more heating equipment, and the stuff i currently have will heat a 6x3x3 just fine, and i dont have the room for an 8x4x4. i REALLY dont want to give her to someone else due to my lack of ability to have an 8x4x4, cuz i have gotten quite attached to her in the last few weeks. anyway, any help would be very much appreciated
thank you

Tegu looks great...A 6/3/3 is good size cage How long have you had her ? I would use like a 120 watt mercury vapor light and some 100 watt flood bulbs will keep her warm.

ive had her a few weeks, she just came out of hibernation and she is eating like crazy, im moderating that of course tho. got her from a friend whos leaveing for italy in the Air force.
right now i currently have a 150 watt ceramic heat emitter, a 150 watt uv heat bulb, and a 100 watt uvb bulb, and for now, thats all i can afford and should do nicely with a 6x3x3 with a lexan door. once i get some more of that wonderfull rarity called money, ill buy some more heating stuff, just in case. teh cage she is in now is staying heated at 85 on one side, 105 on the new basking spot and around 80 under her hide box. a bigger cage would give her more room to thermoregulate i think, some areas would reach the mid 70s i think, but as long as she has the 105 hot spot and a ambient of aroun 80-85 i think she will be ok until i can get some new heat equipment
