I have a small pond behind my house that is too small to stock with fish, but I have decided that I would like to put a few turtles and maybe a couple of ducks back there, so we would have something to look at and feed while we sat on the bank. There is no shortage of snapping turtles in MS, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a breeder that specializes in albino snappers.
Albino snappers are nice looking but rare i seen one at the last herp show for 1200.00 this breeder has some great looking turtles and one of the best albino snapper ive seen http://www.theturtlesource.com/

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of...not gonna invest a grand on something and then stick it outside in a pond. lol Guess we'll just stick with common snappers, but I'm trying to talk my wife into getting an Alligator Gar. I doubt that's gonna happen, it would eat the ducks!

Yeah, i saw some pics of a couple that were around 7 feet long and 200 lbs. An alligator snapper was my first choice, but we're renting...probably not gonna be here 30 or 40 more years to see him full grown. I also doubt the landlord would appreciate us leaving a monster in their pond when we move. lol We did check out the snake heads, they're cute...kinda look like E.T. We've also been looking into getting some peacocks...we're the neighbors from hell!
I have a alligator snapper for sale hes 6-7 inches for 200.00 plus shipping just wanted to add that but great species would be painted turtles , red ear sliders and musk turtles these are cheap and hardy turtles good luck
