Well today I fed my little one raw turkey for the first time, I had it dusted a little bit with calcium powder. She didnt seem as crazy for it as I thought. She was using her tongue and then being a little picky on which pieces she ate and she didnt eat as much of it as I thought. In case it isn;t her favorite, is there something else I could try? I feed crickets, pinkies, and then was going to rotate in raw turkey... any other suggestions of what to add in? She is not into eating fruit just yet, I have tried here and there to get her to eat some but she could care less about it. I left some in a bowl in her tank the one day while I went to work and came home to it all being there still haha.

Bottom line, any other diet ideas? I am afraid she will get bored of the crickets... Thanks guys

Hi cwj108.I found out that after I dust my meat and I turn it around they eat the meat because the powder makes it kind of dry and it is harder for them to swallow. So after I turned the mead I spray it a little bit of water with my mister ( spray bottle ).Here is some info for you.I also give my Tegus fresh Salmon,Tilapia,Tuna and Cod from the fresh fish section at my local grocery store.

My tegu isn't really all that into fish. I've tried a couple different type and he's eaten it, but not like he dose chicken. I fed him chicken gizzards the other day and he loved them. He demolished a whole bowl of them very quickly. Which is nice because they are 1.50 a pound. Thats allot cheaper then superworms at 11 cents a piece. I keep trying different things to see what he likes the best.
