I have a young baby red tegu and she's behaving crazy. She is jumping all around in her tank and when we take her out she cant sit still she wont lay down or even chill while she is out at all. Tango( my one year old is chill and will sleep with us at night.) Even when he was little he was active but not nearly this active. i thought it was because she wanted to explore while being out but she goes in circles and in the littlest cracks.

Have you tried to be in a room where she can't get in to any thing like the bath room or bed room and just let her free roam ( with you keeping a eye on her ) ? how big is she ? what I do with my Tegus is I put them on a reptile leash and take them out side to free roam ( if you do that please be close by because if she is still small she could get out of the leash,my little one does that some times ).What works for me to calm Zeus down ( Leonidas is the calm one Zeus is like yours ) I put on a long sleeve shirt and let him crawl in to the sleeve and he goes to sleep because it is dark and warm in there.Hope that helps. Please keep us posted on how things are going.Oh,a nother thing. When you feed her do you let her eat as much as she wants to ? she might be looking for food.Mine calm down a lot after they ate a big meal.Take care and good luck.
It is while she is in her cage and while she is out. She is crazy! When i let her out she is constantly trying to jump off my bed (which she is on because she is little and there is way to many places she can get to where we couldnt get her.)So i put her back in her tank and she jumps all around expecially near the uvb light. Its kind of scary. She id in a 90 gallon tall tank and she gets 3/4s up the cage. Is there anything i can do to calm her down???

my B&W/Red has been displaying some similar activity. He doesn't do it all the time. It seems to be primarily when I switch from the UVB to night time lights and back...only does it for a couple mins. I was freaked at first because I though that maybe the temp was too hot, so I raised the bulb up a bit, he seems to do it a little less, but it may be hes just settling in a little better.
