About the no toe thing... mine has the same problem when i got him he had lost most of his toes because his first owner didnt know about the humidity thing. Yet I love him anyways. The first owner didnt realise that his toes wernt shedding so the circulation was cut off and his toes just dropped off. his shedding problem has stopped and he is now a healthy always hungry tegu.
That is awesome, that you took him on and now he has a great life. Critters, like people, don't always have to be perfect to be valued and loved.
I googled 'Main Event Pits' which is what is shown on the dog pixs superimposed on the tegu pic. I am extremely underimpressed with the rap on the myspace page, with the visitors that collectively give the impression of those who fight dogs (which is a felony, and rightfully so)
So my earlier impression that this might just be an unsupervised child was, I believe, in error.
