My tegu started a whole body shed quite a while ago and the skin didn't come of his tail, I can see it but it isn't coming off. And he is about to shed again. Will it come off with that?

He gets bathed daily, should I bathe him twice daily?

Help!

Curty.

It is normal for the skin of the tail to come of a few days after he sheds on his upper body.If the skin on his tail stayed on there so long that he is shedding the second time than I would be a little worried because if the skin stays on there that long it can cut of the circulation on the tail and he can loose a part of his tail. Please make sure that you keep his enclosure very humid.Keep the entire mulch moist ( moist to the touch but not wet or soaked ) and stir it up every day or other day.I don't recommend giving your Tegu a bath every day because it can dry out the skin. What you can do is mist him down with a spray bottle while he is basking about twice a day.Hope that helps.
