There is the cutest little baby columbian tegu down at my local pet store. It is amazingly docile, very active, demolishes crickets and again, is tame. The pet store owner told me he would sell it to me at cost ( I volunteer there and take care of all his sick reps.) 40 bucks. But I don't have a cage to spare, and I can't impulse buy it, as much as I want to. I'm gonna try to sweet talk the wife........................IT'S BACKRUB TIME!!!!! _________________ 1.0 African Rock Python

you are so funny.Don't worry the back rub thing will work but please make sure you give her one on a regular basis like if she does a good job with dinner or house work .Good luck. Please keep us posted on how things are going with the Tegu.Thanks.
And hopefully she will give you a good backrub if you do a good job with dinner or the housework.
There is always Craigslist for very cheap small enclosures to put your little guy in and give you time to make or buy a larger one. Too bad you aren't closer, I have a couple visions I need to get out of the garage and they would go cheap.

I do 95% of the cooking and all of the dishes anyway. I have 7 snakes and 4 Lizards already. It's not so much of not having a cage, It's where do I put another cage. I'm sure we can all relate. I have got to rehome my African Rock python before I move, which is devastating to me. I've raised him since he was a hatchling and he is such a sweetheart. My new landlord is ok with all of them but him...........
Don't you hate how a few ignorant people give every other responsible herper a bad name? I think you should have to take a test at your local conservation department before you are allowed to own any Large constrictor of venomous species. That would weed out the idiots who don't lock there cages or let giant snakes free roam. _________________ 1.0 African Rock Python

Never mind the back rub Dave.Since you are doing the cooking and the dishes most of the time you should get it with out having to be extra sweet .I know what you mean with not knowing where to put a nother enclosure.Good luck.
