Does anyone feed their Beardie carrot I have looked all over the net and there is so much conflicting info
Some say rarely, some say often and others say never at all
What fruit and veggies do other Beardie keepers feed theirs _________________ 1.0.0 Louie Our Red Argentine Tegu

You have to be careful with how much carrot you feed because they have a ton of vitamin A and you can overdose on that so I wouldnt feed it all the time.

I feed my beardies a vegetable called Pak Choi. It is a good source of Vitamin C and it's my beardies favourite vegetable. My two haven't got a taste for fruit but they like most melons and mango

I give carrot to my little beardie, but he doesn't seem to like it so much, he prefer the greens. I would say, give him rarely/occasionnaly carrots. _________________ Ben

My beardie mainly eats collard greens and mustard greens as his leafy matter. About once a week or every two weeks, I take a baby carrot and shave it into his salad. He is crazy for carrots, I have seen him go through his salad and pick out only the carrots before coming back later to finish the rest. But like stated earlier, you do not want to feed too much vit A to your beardie. I use a liquid vit that I mist his salad with, balance is the key. Once in a while I feed him some small slices of fruit.
I first started out with a bearded dragon named Zeke. Carrots are not good for them. Zeke died last june or july from heath related problems and my inexperience. He lived for sven years nut his inmune system was all wacky from what I was old from his previous owner. I also read that carrots ae bad for dragons because of the Vit A in it. To mush of it will posion the dragon.
