Hey, ( Straight to the point ) I have four dogs. When my young tegu free roams will he pick the hairs up with his tongue and get impacted?

There is a variety of hair:
Long, thin.
Thick, fluffy.
Short, thin.
Very short, very thin.

Thanks, just a quick question icon_biggrin.gif

Curty.

That is a good question.I have 3 dogs and I let my bigger Tegu free roam a lot and so far I had no problems. But you never know.I think since the hair is soft ( like on the rodents / mice, rats ) your Tegu wouldn't have any problems with it.Just keep a eye on him.

Ok thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

I just always see hair hanging from the side of his mouth.

I don't know if that could be a problem or not. It certainly could lead to a problem. If you are leaving your animal unattended who knows how much it is ingesting.
