I went to a reptile expo, and picked up this children's python... She's a fiesty one!

Also, my bearded dragon eggs have started hatching! I have to buy a macro (micro?) lense to get better close ups of the babies.

This one was taken with the digital:

Great looking animals. Both of them. The snake appears to have the iridescent sheen I like. icon_smile.gif

wow nice, are they normal beardies or german giants? Well when they grow up that is now they may be called midgets...but very cute little midgets. Every time I see those little cuties in the shop I have to resist buying one.

They are "normal" sized. My female is supposed to have german giant in her, but I don't see it. She's 18" icon_lol.gif

Oh, they are. I'm going to have a hard time selling them... They are so cute that I could squish them icon_biggrin.gif But I have more coming. A clutch of 27 in the incubator and more clutches coming.

My bearded dragon recently laid a clutch of 18 with 4 slugs.. how did you get such a large clutch? And how do you keep getting repeated clutches? i know they retain sperm and can lay two clutches from one mating session

It just kind of depends on the dragon. My one female lays multiple clutches from 16-34 eggs per clutch. Multiple clutches isn't exactly a really healthy thing for females to go through though. I really wish my female wouldn't lay more than 2 clutches per breeding.

You usually get better results with breeding if you put the dragons througgh brumation. With my females, I breed them one season, then give them a full season to rest--especially with the multiple clutch layers.
