Hello everyone, I have a Beardie name Uresaii. He/she (I think he is a male) is starting to be a very big guy. I was wondering if I was able to give him some bigger food.

Can I...

Give him some small pinky mice?
Give him some Turkey?
Give him some snails (no hard shell)?
Give him some sole fish?
Give him some cooked egg (rarely)?

Thank you very much! icon_biggrin.gif

It's my understanding that beardies are insectivores and their bodies don't handle a more carnivorous diet. Granted, an occasional pinky won't hurt, but an overload of vertebrate protein may burden the kidneys over time. I'd stick with exploring what types of inverts/worms are available as an alternative, and always provide healthy greens such as collards, mustard mixed with veggies.
