hi, i've been learning about local tegus in my area, one in particular is a full grown male arg b/w that is supposedly 6 years old.

i can't afford to have any more tegus (2nd one is coming soon!)

word is, the tegu isn't eating very much and the owner says anybody can have him. what i want to know is if i get ahold of this tegu nurse him into a healthy eating machine and post pics, would people want to adopt him?

i'd be willing to do it as i love tegus and i bet he's not being cared for properly, but i don't want to get stuck with him as i allready am cutting it close money wise by getting a hatchling.

so what do you think i should do?

hi worldeater, you probably know I just adopted a 3 1/2 b/w female and I already have three other eating machines so I know what you mean by cutting it close. it turns out this one is a real big baby and the older ones don't eat much at all. she will eat two large mice one day and then nothing the next day and after that maybe some ground turkey. anyhow they are not even close to being big eaters like the young ones and she thrives on affection.

yea, i'm thinking more like housing, i'm not sure if i want to move a strange tegu into grox's tank as i don't know what's wrong with this tegu. it's big enough, but i don't trust it alone with my girlie.

i don't know. i think i'll just have to go look at it. once i see him then i can make a decision if i want to take the risk. i bet it'd be a good deed. and i have a buddy of mine half sold on him allready. (he absolutly loves grox)

we'll let it lie till i can hold the lizard. then i'll know what i need to do.
